The war was over and Francisco Martins was a man
much involved qith the Pyritechnics Industry. He became
a pioneer of the fuses manufactoring in Portugal.
He built his own machinery himself and started to
produce the first fuses. His children followed his
steps.
The quality became famous and in 1952 he stopped his
activity in pyrotechnics to dedicate himself exclusively
to the manufacture of fuses.
In the same year, he appointed his son, Jacinto C.
Martins, who assuming complete management in 1964,
improved the process of manufacture by applying modern
technology to the manufacture of the SM fuses.
